The Silent Gliss 1070 curtain track was introduced during 2019, and I assume it was part of a replacement, improvement on the old 1011 and 1012 tracks. Certainly from the short review I did it was less clunky and easier to fit. Instead of using the pin screws that were punched through the glider channel of the 1011 and 1012 when fitted to wood, the 1070 has cam type brackets which are much easier to use. When the 1012 was fitted to concrete or steel, it used a small clip bracket which wasn’t perhaps as elegant a solution as it could have been.
The Silent Gliss 1070 is a ceiling or top fix track available in lengths of up to 6m without a join, a connecting bridge is available. Suitable for bay windows, it can be bent to curves. The finish is white powder coated aluminium.
It is an elegant and stylish track best suited to smaller installations, particularly camper vans, trucks, ships, boats, planes and trains.
